One Potato, Two Potato…

It’s a Turnip Soup extravaganza! In that, we mean that this is a hilarious show, with topics all over the map, that we’re too lazy to delineate in the show notes this week.

And by too lazy, we mean “someone left the Moleskine with the topics list at Bryan’s house, so we don’t know whawt the hell we actually talked about.”
So enjoy. Laugh. Call in your voicemail, and win a t-shirt…but be sure to listen for details on the contest.

Cheers.

Don’t touch that!

It’s time for this week’s show, and there’s a lot on the docket. Join Tim, Parker, BM, NutZach, Sarah and Redneck James for another tour through the week’s news, with stops at hilarious, funny, and ridonculous.

We’re talking about the San Diego Open (cougars, Tiger, and sun. Will Hulu move to a pay model, and will it work? The Toyota recall is sticky…like their gas pedals. Superbowl predictions are in. Is the iPad awesome, or blossom?

Thanks for listening…and spread the word!

Turnip Soup Podcast

It’s a savory bowl of laughs…with crackers.

We’ve spent many moon trying to pin down a good description of Turnip Soup, and most of those nights have ended up with a bunch of drunk dudes throwing paper balls at one another. It’s a tough thing to describe, this Turnip Soup.

We often bill the show as a “comedic” piece; that is, it’s supposed to make people laugh. But the show is much more than a simple collection of standup routines (in fact, it’s not standup at all), and the hosts aren’t comics. Rather, Turnip Soup is almost what your favorite morning radio show would be like, if there were no FCC: racy, real, uncensored and hysterical.

“It’s like being at happy hour with a bunch of buddies.” – Natalie

There’s a regular cast of characters on Turnip Soup, and the fans have grown “close” to each of them. The audience of Turnip Soup grows each week, but will always have a core group of listeners who consider the show part of their lives; these fans comment on the posts, call our voicemail line, send e-mails, and donate beer. We like to think of Turnip Soup as a way to communicate and share a round with our buddies across the globe.

Turnip Soup is free, and will always be free. You can always listen to episodes right here on the website, but if you’ve got an MP3 player (like an iPod), or a podcatcher (like iTunes) on your computer, you can subscribe and receive the newest shows automatically. If you’re ready for that, click one of the links in the sidebar (look at the right edge of this browser window).

Thanks for checking us out; this wouldn’t be much fun without you.
